| Step by Step to Main Editor (BOX 2) |
The image above is that of your second HTML box. This controls your main page only. The good thing about having full use of it is that you can now add scripts, dhtml menus, etc. directly to your page which is not allowed to be used for normal leagues. There are other main benefits of having this feature and those will become evident to you soon within this tutorial.
The words you see surrounded by curly brackets { <-these-> }, are pre-defined commands within the Case's servers. You can remove them or not, all depending on what you want on your page.
Now let's begin:
1. If your going to input only parts of your page and use the Case's layout, then this line is an important one for you to keep as it centers the contents of your page.
2. GAMESITE ( Gaming site logo ) LEAGUE ( Your League Name ) ADMINS ( List the admins for your League )...as previously mentioned, you can delete any of these if you wish.
3. HR is the Horizontal rule that divides your logo and admin names from the rest of the page. There are ways to remove this in the How to section of this site.
4. Again, the normal Case's default flipper and announcement features you used to see before you turned Plus.
5. This is the old right side information. Again, delete if you wish or move somewhere else in your page.
6 THRU 11 are all Case's default layout, from the TOP 20 to the Calendar. You can remove them or keep them or move them to a different part of your page.
TIPS on how to integrate your HTML in this box:
1. Erase the whole contents of the box, add your own HTML codes then add the Case's default commands where you want them to appear. Make sure to add the curly brackets with it.
2. If tables are your fancy, then add your codes right in there in between the Case's default commands.
3. You can also do a slight variation of the old style iframe but instead of using the iframe command you just simply add your codes right after the { ANNOUNCE } command, this way, when you do need to make an announcement, it will show up right above your normal page HTML codes.
4. There is still the old fashion way, iframe the codes in.
NO matter which way you choose, always know, it is your style!
